Ron Verwey

Born on the 12th of November 1970 in Georgetown, Guyana. He resided for almost two decades in Suriname where he was widely exposed to the country's rich art. During the 2003 Carifesta in Suriname he exhibited with Henna Hens (a renowned artist from the Netherlands). In 2007 he did a private course at Carl Anderson, the renowned photo realist from Guyana. In 2008 he exhibited at CARIFESTA (Largest festival of arts among Carribean nations) and During that same Year he participated in the National Gallery biennale drawing competition and exhibition. At  present the emerging artist is exploring oil with palette knife.
